Economic Development
The Eden Chamber of Commerce works with the City of Eden and Rockingham County on Economic Development opportunities.
Ken White is the city’s Main Street Director & Economic Development Specialist. As the Main Street Director & Economic Development Specialist, he promotes and assists Eden businesses.
Mr. White supports existing industry and manages the Eden Main Street Downtown Revitalization Program for our downtown areas of Eden (Draper Village, Uptown Eden, The Blvd, and the Cook Block).
There are several other tasks included in the departmental duties including promotion of the Eden business community via media publications and appearances, and participating in efforts to make Eden the ideal location to live and work. Through Placer.AI, Mr. White can provide cones and up to date traffic counts.

The Eden Chamber of Commerce also works closely with Cindy Adams, Marketing & Special Events Manager. As Marketing & Special Events Manager, Cindy oversees the City of Eden's many outstanding special events and festivals.
Ms. Adams initiated a 'Think and Shop Local' campaign, was intimately involved with the 2011 Eden All-America City Award process, and manages the highly successful http://www.exploreedennc.com/ web site and popular Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Explore-Eden-NC/97366236064.
Under Cindy's leadership, the Eden RiverFest has been a two -time North Carolina Main Street Award winner and Top 20 Event in the Southeast for the summer of 2011. The Piedmont Pottery Festival has become a premier pottery event in North Carolina and southern Virginia.

The Eden Chamber of Commerce works closely with Randy Hunt, Small Business Director at Rockingham Community College.
Mr. Hunt can help a prospective entrepreneur put together a business plan to see if an idea is viable and test that plan. He can help them see their way through cash flow statements, help procure resources, and help them understand the amount of work involved in running a business.
That help comes in various forms, such as one-on-one assistance for small business owners and start-ups, workshops and core business classes, partnerships with state and federal agencies and other financing groups, networking opportunities, and resources shared through the statewide Small Business Center network. Hunt can also schedule a time to meet at our Chamber office.
